Day 55/Aug 30 Waterloo/St Genevieve, Missouri 🗣
It was my last day at home packing up the canoe. I’m getting ready for a week on the river without presentations or much cell phone coverage. Looking forward to paddling again.
Tonight I drove down river to St. Genevieve for a social with their Rotary Club of Ste. Genevieve to talk about the Expedition. Tomorrow I’ll leave from the Gateway Arch National Park and try to make it to St Gen in my canoe. It’s 55 miles. It will be a long day.
Thank you to the incredible Rotary District 6060 Governor Linda Puchbauer who has supported the #mississippiexpedition by not only asking all the clubs in her district to invite me to speak and to learn about and support ShelterBox USA, but she also came to St Genevieve Rotary Club to hear me speak. And thank you to Assistant District Governor and St Gen Rotarian Steph Gremminger who made it happen. They presented me with a donation for $500 to ShelterBox USA!
I had a great week at home. Time to get back on the river.
